Our Residential Coordinators monitor all of our host homes carefully to ensure your safety, that all your needs are met and that you are receiving the highest level of care. The Host Home Provider is charged with providing a safe, loving environment for you. They are responsible for day to day care including providing meals, medication administration, arranging for medical care and treatment, and to meet other specific needs you might have. You will be required to provide care and supervision for your client whenever he or she is at home with you. Depending on your client they may be able to be left alone for up to 4 hours at a time. They will also likely participate in a job or day program outside of your home 6-8 hours per day 4-5 days per week.
You only need to submit additional applications if you have additional service locations or if you are applying for an additional provider type outside of HCBS. Host Home Providers may work with up to two individuals with disabilities in their home, depending on the number of bedrooms/bathrooms and the amount of shared space that is available. Individuals are able to choose their roommates, and a 30-day trial period is required to ensure the Host Home is an appropriate placement for the individual if agreed by entire team.

The stipend varies based on the needs of the individual you support. In addition, the individual also pays a monthly contracted fee for room and board. However, as an Independent Contractor with Cheyenne Village, no employee benefits are provided. Overture does not pay for backup service providers . You will negotiate a rate of pay with that provider and then notify the Overture team on our BUSP request form. The agreed-upon rate of pay will be pulled from your check and paid to the backup service provider.
